Beautiful skin

Cream, serum, SPF, face mask… When we think about taking care of our skin, we most often start with our cosmetic bag. Meanwhile, daily skincare doesn’t end with what we put on our face.

The skin is part of our body, so what also matters is what our everyday life looks like: our diet, hydration, sleep, protection from excessive sun exposure, and providing the body with the right nutrients.

The increasingly popular “beauty from within” approach can therefore be seen not simply as another trend, but as a reminder that it is worth caring for our skin both from the outside and from within.

Collagen – why is everyone talking about it?

Collagen is a protein that occurs naturally in the human body. It is therefore no surprise that it has become one of the most recognisable ingredients in beauty products.

Supplements can contain collagen from different sources. One of them is fish collagen, also known as marine collagen.

Its form is also important. Marine Glo contains hydrolyzed fish collagen. The hydrolysis process breaks the protein down into smaller fragments – peptides. One daily serving of Marine Glo provides 5 g of hydrolyzed fish collagen.

However, it is worth remembering one thing: the presence of collagen in a supplement does not mean that we can attribute any desired effect on the appearance of the skin to it. When communicating about foods and food supplements, specific authorised health claims apply.

And this is where things get interesting, because it is worth looking at skin health more broadly than through the lens of a single ingredient.

Vitamin C and collagen – a duo that makes nutritional sense

Vitamin C is probably one of the best-known nutrients. In the context of skin, however, it has particular significance.

According to the health claim authorised in the European Union:

vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.

It also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

That is why combining collagen and vitamin C in one formula has an interesting nutritional rationale. One Marine Glo sachet contains 25 mg of vitamin C, equivalent to 31% of the reference intake.

Not just vitamin C. Meet biotin and niacin

If you mainly associate biotin with hair, it is worth knowing that its role is broader.

Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. This is one of the authorised health claims for this nutrient.

The same applies to niacin, or vitamin B3 – it also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.

One Marine Glo sachet contains 300 µg of biotin, equivalent to 600% NRV, and 16 mg of niacin – 100% NRV.

This also shows why, when choosing a supplement, it is worth reading more than just the product name. The Marine Glo formula is not based solely on collagen.

And what about lutein?

This may be one of the more surprising ingredients in Marine Glo.

Many people primarily associate lutein with products intended for eye health. Marine Glo contains 10 mg of FloraGLO® lutein per daily serving.

And this is where it is worth highlighting the difference between a product’s composition and its communication.

The fact that a particular ingredient is present in a supplement does not automatically mean that we can attribute any health properties we wish to it. In the EU, health claims are subject to specific regulations and must be supported by the relevant authorisations.

Therefore, in the case of Marine Glo, we can simply say: one sachet contains 10 mg of FloraGLO® lutein – without attributing an effect to it that we are not authorised to communicate.

Is a supplement enough?

No. And this may be the most important part of the “beauty from within” conversation.

A food supplement should be exactly what its name suggests – a supplement, not a substitute for a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle.

Daily care for your skin is a much broader picture: a balanced diet, adequate fluid intake, sufficient sleep, physical activity and protection of the skin from excessive UV exposure. This is complemented by a carefully chosen skincare routine.

Supplementation can be one element of such a routine, but it should not replace its foundations.

A new ritual? Instead of another step in the bathroom – a glass of water

There is another aspect that is rarely discussed when choosing supplements: consistency.

A daily routine only works when we can actually stick to it. That is why the format of a product can also matter.

Marine Glo comes in individual sachets. One sachet should be mixed with 355–473 ml of water and taken once daily. The package contains 30 servings.

Marine Glo has a tropical flavour, and each serving provides 5 g of fish collagen, vitamin C, niacin, biotin and 10 mg of FloraGLO® lutein. The product contains no sugar and, according to the label, contains no artificial flavours or colours.

It can therefore become a simple part of your morning or daily routine – much like your favourite serum or cream.

360° skincare instead of searching for a single “miracle” solution

Perhaps this is how we should think about skincare today.

Not as one ingredient, one cosmetic or one supplement that is supposed to do everything. A much more sensible approach is a 360° perspective: external skincare + a balanced diet + a healthy lifestyle + conscious supplementation when needed.

Marine Glo can be one element of such a daily ritual. No promises of an instant transformation – but with a clearly defined formula and ingredients whose functions we can describe specifically.

Because good skincare does not always mean adding another cosmetic to the shelf. Sometimes it is worth looking at it from within as well.

Marine Glo – 1 sachet daily: 5 g of hydrolyzed fish collagen, 25 mg of vitamin C, 16 mg of niacin, 300 µg of biotin and 10 mg of FloraGLO® lutein.

Food supplement. Contains a sweetener. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are the basis for the proper functioning of the body.
